Once again trying to blog a few weddings for the start of the year. This one was shot at O’Reilly’s Vineyard nestled it the Canungra Valley. There’s always such a special feel to these country weddings and even the drive out there had me feeling excited about the day. There was a few storm clouds coming over from Lamington National Park that threatened to ruin the ceremony but  Lauren and Ivan went ahead with their outdoor ceremony anyway. After a few quick portraits the storm rolled in and the hail and rain begun . Yes, it was pretty crazy for a while but these guys just rolled with it. We were able to head back out to grab some more shots around the grounds of the winery before the reception which was decked out with some sweet rustic styling.

One of my favourite parts of a wedding is listening to and shooting the speeches especially when they are heartfelt and genuine, Ivan’s speech was up there with the best of them.

Looking forward to shooting out here again sometime, hopefully without the hail storm. Hope you like the pics!

Just a quick post with a few photos from the last wedding I shot out at the Boomerang Farm on the Gold Coast. It’s always such a fun venue to shoot at and is pretty much what wedding photographers dreams are made of. Although we had some great light and got some awesome photos before the sun went down my favourite shot was the first one here that I took at night. I’ve never really been a fan of flash photography but doing these night time portraits has got me keen to see what I can come up with.
