I shot this wedding earlier on in the year and it still stands out as one of my favourites.
On the wedding day I drove from the Gold Coast down to Byron Bay and the further south I got the darker the clouds got but these guys weren’t going to let a little rain or a torrential downpour ruin their day. Thats one of the things I loved about these guys, most couples would be stressing and close to breaking point at the way the weather was toying with their dream beach ceremony. Not Amanda and Jacob, they just kept smiling, even when it absolutely poured down just as she was about to walk down the aisle. They were getting married and thats all that mattered.
It seemed rather fitting that the sun came out just in time for a few quick portraits on the old train tracks before the reception kicked off. After the formalities were over the dance floor heated up into one of the wildest wedding parties I’ve seen. At one stage the whole venue was vibrating and I was quite sure the floorboards were going to collapse.
Thanks for an awesome day Amanda and Jacob.
